Julia Fischer starts her residency with the Staatskapelle Dresden with performances from November 13 to 23, first in Dresden and then on tour. The program will alternate between Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor op. 64 and Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major op. 61. After Christian Thielemann had to cancel at short notice, two conductors, Tugan Sokhiev and David Afkham, will now take turns leading the concerts.
