Julia Fischer makes her debut with Vienna Philharmonic

Beginning of May Julia Fischer makes her debut with Vienna Philharmonic! Under the baton of Esa-Pekka Salonen she plays his own - Salonen's - and Beethoven's violin concerto. The first concert on 3rd of May takes place at the hall where the Beethoven concerto celebrated its world premiere: at Theater an der Wien (Vienna). On 5th of May follows a concert at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, the final concert is on 6th of May at Vienna's Musikverein.

Julia Fischer has been for a long time closely connected with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and David  Zinman. Their first joint CD was released by Decca in March: the violin concertos of Antonín Dvorák and Max Bruch No. 1. The Dvorák concerto was part of their tour with concerts in Zurich, Munich, Dortmund, Stuttgart and Cologne.
